A daring drive with a difference!
In a bizarre incident that has left many scratching their heads, a man was arrested for an unusual driving escapade. But here's where it gets interesting: he was driving with only three wheels!
Petaling Jaya witnessed an extraordinary sight on a Saturday morning. A Range Rover Velar, with its right rear tire completely shredded, sparked curiosity and concern. A brave motorcyclist attempted to flag down the driver, but the vehicle continued its journey, leaving a trail of sparks from the bare rim.
The city traffic chief, Zamzuri Isa, shared a statement detailing the incident. He revealed that the driver, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, voluntarily surrendered at the Kuala Lumpur traffic police station shortly after the event. The vehicle's path, from the Sungai Besi Highway to Taman Naga Emas, was a risky one, with the shredded tire causing potential hazards.
"The man claimed the tire burst after hitting a pothole, and he decided to continue driving due to his proximity to home," Isa explained. This decision, however, led to his arrest, and now he faces serious charges.
Police will conduct thorough tests, including urine and breathalyser examinations, to determine the driver's condition during the incident. The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, highlighting the seriousness of reckless and dangerous driving.
