Get ready to dive into the world of design and collaboration! Note Design Studio's vision for the Lammhults showroom is a game-changer.
During Stockholm Design Days, the furniture brand Lammhults Design Group unveiled a unique showroom, crafted by Note Design Studio. This space serves as a neutral canvas to showcase their diverse range of contract furniture, but there's more to it than meets the eye.
The company, encompassing Lammhults, Abstracta, Fora Form, and Ragnars, sought to create a unified front while celebrating each brand's individuality. And here's where it gets interesting: Note Design Studio, led by co-founder Cristiano Pigazzini, took on the challenge of designing this innovative space.
The project involved transforming a unit in central Stockholm, revealing its raw structure and then infusing it with a design that seamlessly integrates products from all the brands. Johannes Karlström, interior architect and founding partner at Note, explained, "The ask was to create a space that represents all our brands under one roof." But it's not just about aesthetics; it's a strategic move to strengthen their presence in the industry.
The interior is a series of carefully curated environments, allowing customers to interact with and experience the products side by side. Note opted for simple yet effective materials like rattan carpets, Valchromat panels, and eco-friendly floor tiles to create a neutral backdrop, ensuring the furniture takes center stage.
"We wanted a soft white palette with a touch of dark red-brown and a warm burgundy accent to add depth and coziness," Karlström shared. The color scheme varies subtly across rooms, creating a natural flow.
Currently, the showroom features key pieces from Lammhults, like the Geofanti sofa by Anya Sebton, and the modular Bao sofa system designed by Note. Abstracta's acoustic panels and lamps, Ragnars' tables and cabinets, and Fora Form's furniture, including the vibrant Bud meeting room chair, also make an appearance.
Lighting is a key element, with dimmable LED light tubes that can adjust colors to suit the mood or time of day. Lammhults Design Group, a Scandinavian leader in office furniture, designed this showroom to symbolize their integrated, customer-centric approach.
"This space will foster customer engagement, creative collaborations, and inspiration," said Susanna Hilleskog, CEO of Lammhults Design Group. "It's about strengthening the connection between design, business, and customer needs."
The company's new strategic direction, "Scandinavian Design. Multiplied," aims to offer customers a holistic solution for contract projects while allowing each brand to shine.
Note Design Studio, founded in 2008, has a diverse portfolio, from quirky restaurants to Japanese-inspired wine bars. Their previous showroom design for Lammhults in Copenhagen embraced the rough charm of a historic naval base.
So, what do you think? Is this showroom a successful blend of unity and individuality? Do you see it as a hub for creative collaboration? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
